Hey Friends,
So my normal lifting days are Tues/Fri with my heavy shirt days on Tuesday. I have a competition coming up and I did a few warm up sets then put my opening shirt on. I took 255lbs down to a 3 board and pressed it up with no problem! My lifts for the meet should be about 270-275 for my first lift, 300-305 for my 2nd lift and then all out on my 3rd lift. I had a shirt that I haven't put on in a LONG time, so I put it on. It was pretty tight. Terry put 340lbs on and I gave it a shot. He had to guide it down. I was quite shaky at the top bc I was not used to holding that much weight. The shirt was so tight it didnt touch my chest. I pressed it back up on my own though. I waited a few minutes and tried again. I took the weight down slowly and got it to touch my chest and he gave me the press command and I pressed it. Then he made me hold it at the top for 3-5 seconds because I tend to rack it before the rack command and surprisingly, I DID IT! Woohoo!! Good workout!!
